Location

The Civic Guest House is centrally located in downtown Townsville, a short 5 minute stroll to Flinders Mall and a 15 minute walk to the Strand (beach) and Palmer Street (restaurant precinct).

We offer FREE pick-up (at 2pm and 7pm) and drop-off (at 9:45am and 11am) to/from the Greyhound bus station and Ferry terminal to Magnetic Island. Please note that pick-ups and drop-offs need to be booked 24 hours prior arrival/departure. Simply contact us on (07) 4771 5381!

Outside of these hours you can catch the SUNBUS REDBUS, which meets all Greyhound's buses and Magnetic Island Ferries and will drop you off one block away from the hostel for $1.70. The Redbus also gets to all main attractions including the Strand, the Rock Pool, Flinders and Palmer Streets, and picks up from the Premier Bus stop.
